Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.
This is a remote, full-time role for a RN Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist at DextroMedical. The Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of medical records documentation leading to appropriate coding, billing, and reimbursement. The Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist will work collaboratively with clinicians, coders, and other healthcare professionals to perform audits and provide education and feedback on how to improve documentation standards.

Experience/Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of recent Clinical Documentation specialist experience in an acute care setting
- Excellent knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (e.g., ICD-10, CPT), and regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission)
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Epic and 3M 360.
- Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Knowledge of Medicare Advantage and/or Risk Adjustment programs is a plus
- Experience in Quality Improvement initiatives, and development and implementation of policies, procedures and standards
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Professional certification in Clinical Documentation Integrity or Clinical Coding is a plus (e.g., CCDS, CDIP, CCS, CPC)
Schedule
The employee is required to work four 10-hour shifts per week, with one of these shifts falling on a weekend day - either Saturday or Sunday.
