Responsibilities:
- Perform physical examinations and assessments on patients in the Catheterization Lab
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations and procedures, such as Cardiac Catheterizations
- Monitor patients' vital signs and provide appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding procedures, medications, and self-care
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Participate in discharge planning and provide appropriate referrals for follow-up care
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Catheterization Lab or similar setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Life Support required.
Venipuncture experience required. IntraAortic Balloon Pump experience preferred. EP/Pacemaker experience preferred. Catheter Ablation experience preferred. Angioplasty experience preferred.
