Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse in our Cardiac Catheterization Lab. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a procedural environment. What you will do in the role:

• Prepares patient for Cardiac Catheterization, monitors patient during cath, and assists patient during recovery.

• You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Cardiac Cath patients pre, intra and post procedure.
  

• Observes patient and machine during procedure and reports unusual occurrences and records patient’s condition.
• Maintains images and operates image vault and hemodynamic server.
• Observes proper radiation safety on all exams.
• Assists with cardiovascular data mining and submission.
• Prepares room, equipment, medicine and materials as needed for patients/procedures.
• Cleans and disinfects procedure room, pre op, and post procedure area and equipment.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• One to three years’ experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician.
• OR HAVE ICU/PACU/CRITICAL CARE EXPERIENCE.

HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383 bed hospital. We are located in Bradenton, FL. We have a thirteen acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches.
