RN - Capacity & Throughput Coordinator; 0.75 FTE; PM/Night Shift

The Registered Nurse (RN) Throughput & Capacity Coordinator serves as the access point and manages communication between UPH Meriter and UW Health Access Center, System ED navigators. Facilitates and enhances capacity communication for providers, staff, and unit leaders, and serves as a value-added resource to streamline safe effective patient throughput through the system to UPH Meriter and facilitates operations that support high quality, safe, and efficient patient hand offs, capacity management, and patient throughput excellence.

Job Description:
Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Will consider other nursing degrees on an individual basis.
• Three years current nursing experience.
• Proven leadership experiences as unit charge nurse and in inter and intra departmental settings.
• Proven expertise in understanding acute care criteria from inpatient hospitalization, detailed knowledge of scope of practice of each of each UPH Meriter Hospital Nursing unit and a working knowledge of its operations (or a similar setting).
• EPIC.
• Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.

Preferred or Specialized Qualifications:

• MSN
• Previous management or team leadership experience preferred.
• Previous charge RN or access center experience
