REPORTS TO: Risk Management Supervisor

EXEMPTION STATUS: Non-exempt
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Conduct risk management related testing, review, and analysis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Recommend changes in policies, procedures, and practices to mitigate risk and correct compliance deficiencies by reviewing existing practices, reports and controls.
- Perform the primary role in the administration of processes such as: vendor management, garnishments, escheatment, levies, and subpoenas.
- Act as the primary User Access Administrator of various websites and programs used for internal business.
- Assist with the credit union's Vendor Management program. Conduct due diligence reviews of potential and existing vendors.
- Abide by state and federal banking regulations. Attend training sessions and complete compliance training on an annual basis. Maintain member and TFCU privacy and confidentiality.
OTHER DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist TFCU employees on matters related to regulatory compliance, suspicious transactions, fraud, and BSA/OFAC compliance.
- Assist in monitoring compliance developments to provide recommendations to management to ensure timely compliance with new or changing requirements.
- Coordinate data collection and preparation for audits and exams, and assist regulators and auditors with inquiries and examinations
- Conduct Supervisory Committee related tasks, such as assisting with cash counts, taking meeting minutes, and creating the meeting document package.
- Assist with other risk management related activities, and assume responsibility for other special projects, data collection, and preparation of reports for the Board, Senior Management, auditors, or examiners as assigned.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all duties are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Gain and retain a high-level knowledge of all TFCU products, policies and procedures.
- Adhere to TFCU's attendance and punctuality policy.
- Maintain a professional businesslike appearance in accordance with TFCU's dress code policy.
- Engage in behavior that aligns with the credit union's cultural beliefs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Education: High school diploma or its equivalent required.
Experience: One (1) year of financial institution experience required.
Qualifications:
1. General knowledge of, and ability to research, applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and agency guidelines, including consumer protection regulations, fair lending laws, NCUA rules and regulations, and Bank Secrecy Act/USA PATRIOT Act.
2. Strong investigative, analytical, and research skills and the ability to assess member transactions and situations fairly and objectively.
3. Working knowledge of credit union account and loan types to provide support and guidance to employees regarding application of policies and procedures.
4. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
5. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite products, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Availability: Monday through Friday as scheduled, with weekends and holidays as assigned.
