JOB SUMMARY
The Risk Adjustment Medical Records Clerk – Security Health Plan (SHP) is responsible for requesting and processing Medical Records from provider offices for purposes of Risk Adjustment coding and data submission to the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and Health and Human Services (HHS). This individual reports to the Risk Adjustment Revenue Manager.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: High school graduate. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
Preferred/Optional: None
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: One-year administrative experience working in a clinical related setting (physician practice, hospital, insurance company, etc) is required.
Preferred/Optional: Experience with extracting electronic Medical Records.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
