As the Right of Way Specialist, you'll join our collaborative Public Works team in Seminole County and will work on all aspects of the County's real estate acquisition needs to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. You'll supervise and/or perform work to meet the requirements of the county's land acquisition functions including title work, appraisals, negotiations, acquisitions, relocations, surveys, closings and condemnations. You'll work to acquire Right of Way and easements for projects including sidewalks/trails, bridges, road widenings, traffic signals, stormwater and parks.

Substantial years of land acquisition experience with municipalities and/or FDOT
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Valid Driver's license with no major infractions
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field
Years experience (preferably in the public sector) in right-of-way acquisition and property acquisition, escrow or title work, real estate or eminent domain law, legal descriptions, construction plans, real property appraisal, including some federal acquisition or relocation experience
Certification as a Right-of-Way Agent by the International Right-of-Way Association (IRWA)
Knowledge of City, State, County ordinances and codes
Understanding of engineering practices, standard construction practices, materials, methods and codes
Excellent communication skills and working knowledge of related legislation
Strong interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other employees, government officials, contractors, suppliers and the general public
