SalarySummary: Six Flags Over Georgia has a thrilling career opportunity for a skilled, hardworking, and qualified individual in our Maintenance division as a Mechanical Foreman! This position is responsible for overseeing the Park Mechanic Shop, leading a crew of Park Mechanics, and executing the mechanical ride maintenance programs. This position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise the maintenance rehab, repair, inspection, and troubleshooting of rides, vehicles, infrastructure, and attractions to ensure their safe and efficient operation
- Ensure that the ride inspection programs are being properly executed in accordance with the standards set by Six Flags, Ride Manufacturers, ASTM, and the State of Georgia.
- Inspect rides and attractions, and notify management of any and all hazards that may endanger guests or employees
- Entering purchase requisitions for shop supplies and materials.
- Setting daily assignments for assigned crew and when required, administering training.
- Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, gearbox drive systems, etc.
- Diagnose and repair/replace faulty mechanical components, such as lift chains, gearboxes, speed braking components, etc.
- Respond to work orders and conduct mechanical repairs as required to maintain safe park operation.
- Adhere to park policies and procedures.
- Occasionally serve as Maintenance In-Charge.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of, or willingness to learn IBM Maximo or similar Enterprise Asset Management systems.
- Advanced knowledge of various mechanical systems and ability to proficiently weld.
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to professionally interact with other shops and various departments.
- Must be able to troubleshoot, calmly, and safely in the presence of guests, co-workers, and park management.
- Ability to write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting, bending, standing for long periods, climbing, and working at heights up to 200 ft.
- Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
- Ability to work outside in any weather conditions, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid Drivers’ License and clean DMV report.
- Employees are required to supply their hand tools.
