RICJ Youth Empowerment VISTA

Member Duties : The Youth Empowerment VISTA works to disrupt the generational cycle of poverty for BIPOC youth. They recruit youth and mentors, raise funds, tell stories of success, build networks and an intentional community for youth. 1-SUSTAINABILITY: Seek new grants and resources for the youth programs; share youth stories; pilot new fundraising approaches; document success; maintain and use database in grants and evaluation. 2-RECRUITMENT AND OUTREACH: Recruit youth, mentors and volunteers; recruit groups willing to host youths' social justice workshops; extend community networks; market and organize trainings to support youth programs; maintain and use database for outreach to youth, alumni, families, schools, donors.
