$17.68/hr minimum - $26.52/hr maximum (range increases based on education, experience and certifications)

  • The RHCC Resource Specialist is responsible for the acquisition, maintenance, deployment, and recovery of disaster medical assets and supplies for the RHCC.

  • Safety-Manages processes effectively in regard to employee/patient safety. Record Keeping-Maintains all required records, reports, statistics, logs, files and other documents as required, including but not limited to payroll, schedules and status changes. Process Improvement-Promotes a culture of process improvement by establishing unit/department based programs that supports the system’s process improvement goals. Actively participates on system-wide or hospital-based teams. Role Specific Responsibilities-Maintains an inventory of all RHCC assets. Maintains a fleet of vehicles, trailers, and other mobility resources to rapidly deploy medical equipment and materials throughout the region and state. Acquires, caches, inventories and maintains supplies needed to support disaster medical operations in the region and state. Maintains equipment necessary to conduct medical operations in austere environments that may include trailers, tents, warehouses, or other non-medical facilities. Provides training to RHCC staff, regional hospitals, and other community partners on the deployment and operation of disaster medical assets. Participates in disaster exercises to increase awareness and utilization of the RHCC disaster assets. Provides information to RHCC Manager, regional hospitals, and other community partners on equipment and supply requirements based on current or expected situation. Responsible for maintaining radio and other communication equipment for the RHCC. Recovers, restores, and replenishes equipment and supplies, returning assets to deployable status after an event or incident. Assists with the development and delivery of emergency management / disaster response training to regional partners. Assists with the development and review of regional, hospital and community partner emergency plans.

  • Associates degree in EMS, Nursing or Healthcare related field required Bachelor's degree preferred.
