Infosys is seeking RF/Wi-Fi automation Engineer - In the role you will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise for issues dealing with Comcast CPE RDK Modem and Set top boxes, electromagnetic RF spectrum, WLAN discovery/analysis, 802.11 protocol analysis, management/operation of endpoint security. Proficient in wireless LAN administration and mesh networks. Work with the product managers and development engineers to define & document product functionalities and requirements. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Downingtown, PA location or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Hands-on Experience in RDK Devices, Field defect Reproduction, Triaging the Wi-Fi Defects, Hands on Experience in RDK Platform framework, Wi-Fi Characterization, RF Attenuation and Wi-Fi Chamber Buildout
• Technical understanding of DOCSIS (3/3.1/4) physical, MAC, and upper-layer protocols, OSS, and PNM collection and streaming telemetry, and HFC technologies.
• Thorough understanding of modern service provider TCP/IP data networks using standards and technologies including but not limited to: Ethernet, STP, RSTP, 802.1q, 802.11b/g/n/a/ac/ax
• Experience with technologies used to develop and support automated testing including JAVA, Spring Framework, Tomcat, Python, Jenkins, Concourse, GIT, Robotics Implementation
• Understanding of wireless and WLAN Protocols, QoS, authentication protocols, RADIUS, WIFI6 and WIFI6E
Preferred Qualifications:
• Must have at least 5 years of experience in Python/TCL framework
• Familiarity with industry standard test tools like Octoscope,Veri wave, Byteblower, Candela, CD Router, and packet debuggers like Wireshark, Omnipeek and Savius
• Design and develop software frameworks, automation tools and test scripts using modern test automation methods.
• Work with Product and Development owners in defining the feature user story requirements and provide automation framework capabilities to support scripting during feature development phase.
• Develop and deploy sophisticated test automation software for verifying and testing CPE devices, with specialization in DOCSIS, networking, Wi-Fi, and mesh functionalities, using Agile or Scrum methodologies in a DevOps environment.
• Architect and maintain a robust test automation suite to support end-to-end automated regression testing, specifically targeting DOCSIS, networking, Wi-Fi, and mesh features.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Advanced Linux and distributed architectures engineering experience.
• CCNA Certification.
• Experience in machine learning and hands on in exposure to LLM models
• Ability to work with business users to transform and develop requirements into design, implementation, and business solutions.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
