The RF/IS Standards Engineer will lead projects in certifying satellite systems and meet Information System compliance standards. This will include providing technical direction to ensure our products and systems meet various Government and DoD requirements; participate in design, testing, troubleshooting and analysis; work alongside peers to drive innovative program and solutions; and complete engineering projects in a timely, thorough, and accurate manner. Position will be based in Plano Texas.
Job Duties:
- Satcom / RF Systems Testing
- Satcom / RF Systems Troubleshooting
- Understanding & ability to analyze RF Test Results
- RF Compliance, WGS, FCC, etc.
- IS Network Structure understanding (Firewalls, DC, CA, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- TCP/IP (Routing, troubleshooting, computer setup, applications)
- IS Cyber Security & Compliance CMMC, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, FedRamp
- Cloud IS knowledge
- Knowledge of NISPOM, DFARs, etc.
- High level of Reporting, computer skills, MS Office, AutoCaD, SolidWorks a plus
- Basic Programming skills a plus (LabVIEW, Excel Macros)
- Travel may be required as needed, including both domestic and international
- Provide high level technical support to customers and other departments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program
- 5 years minimum RF system design background is required, with satellite experience desired.
- Excellent electrical aptitude
- Hands on, mechanical aptitude is a plus
- Familiarity with Configuration Management Tools (Solidworks PDM) a plus
- Ability to solve non-routine problems by integrating relevant resources
- Ability to work effectively both as an individual contributor and as a member of cross-functional teams
- Familiarity of Information Systems, Networking, routing, authentication and cyber security
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work with aggressive program schedules
- Ability to prioritize and support multiple tasks
- Candidates must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance upon hire
