Job Description

1. Block-level design and simulation to understand the circuits that are being measured and correlating measurements with simulation
2. Tuning RF front end modules in the lab
3. Impedance matching using Smith chart
4. Evaluating RF parameters like IP3, P1dB, NF, return loss, etc.
5. Validating performance across supply, temperature and frequency
6. 6. Creating compliance matrices against spec, plotting results and presenting results summary

Job Requirements

1. Ability to work June - November 2023
2. Must be currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering MS or Ph.D. program.
3. Knowledge of semiconductors, analog circuits, RF design fundamentals, wireless systems and introductory electromagnetics.
4. Understanding of basic IC building blocks like LNA, mixer, switch, bias, bandgap, LDO, op-amp, etc.
5. Understanding of design parameters like gain, noise, non-linearity, s-parameters, stability, etc is required.
6. Exposure to a lab testing setup and environment including commonly used test equipment like network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, frequency generator, noise figure meter will be useful to perform the required job.
7. Familiarity and experience with circuit design tools like Cadence and be familiar with CMOS/bipolar/SOI devices and models.
8. Use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required to perform job duties successfully.
9. Position requires good communication and presentation skills.
