Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Assist in overseeing the Rewind Operating Team, to ensure daily job functions are performed safely and properly.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Delegate tasks to team members as necessary.
Ability to adjust and fix machines.
Provide team members with feedback and guidance for daily job duties.
Ensure team is adhering to quality and safety standards.
Ensure all machines are functioning properly.
Ensure the work area is properly cleaned at the end of the shift.
Load cores into the rewinder hopper with all the arrows facing the same direction.
Place the master rolls on the spindle shaft and prepare to unwind.
Examine the first roll produced and make minor adjustments, if needed.
Gather the rewound rolls and place in a gaylord.
Replace the master rolls as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 2+ years experience as a Rewind Operator, or equivalent.
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
Working knowledge of EG, Guage Micrometer, tape measure, footage counter.
Knowledge of mechanical functions of edge trimming and converting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, bend, lift, and reach.
Adheres to safety standards and wears personal protective equipment (safety glasses required).
Noise level is usually loud.
Exposure to dust and vibration.
Frequently exposed to manufacturing chemicals.
Exposure to machinery and mechanical moving parts.
