We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team. As a Revenue Cycle Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing, coding, and collection processes.
Duties:
- Review and analyze medical records, claims, and documentation for accurate coding and billing
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
- Collaborate with medical office staff to obtain missing or incomplete documentation
- Identify and resolve coding discrepancies or errors
- Process insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims
- Conduct medical collections activities, including contacting patients or insurance companies for payment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and billing information
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in Revenue Cycle management or medical coding preferred
- Familiarity with various systems used in Revenue Cycle management (e.g., electronic health records, billing software)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
