About the job
Returned Goods Clerk is responsible for the handling of any product returned from the customer. The product may be unsaleable, damaged, refused, or requested to be returned by the customer for various reasons. The normal shift is Monday through Friday, 6:30AM to 3:00PM, 40 hours per week in a Warehouse environment. This position may be assigned special projects as determined by the Manager Warehouse & Shipping.
Essential Functions

• Process unsaleable and saleable returns from the trade or direct customers to ensure accurate and timely credit processing to the customers; properly counting, recording, documenting, and sorting products returned from customers and routing to be batched for destruction or forwarded to the rework area
• Manage and communicate the need for materials in the work area
• Process damaged in transit, refused, or saleable product in the rework area that has been returned from direct customers, trade shows, or warehouse
• Maintain all proper paperwork for TTB, intercompany audits, and requested documents for the Finance Department

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required - plus one to three months related experience and/or training
• Must be able to operate a fork truck or hand truck
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Must be able to work with minimal guidance or supervision, dependable, have good attendance, and take initiative to make others aware of concerns, seek guidance when necessary, and be accountable for the outcome of the position
• Must have good problem-solving skills, be team oriented, and willing to accept new technology when provided
• Computer skills and thorough familiarity with MS Office or other computer software
• Able to spend the required shift hours (8-12 depending on shift) standing, walking, lifting (approx.40 lb), pulling and pushing
• Responsible for being knowledgeable of and acting in strict accordance with the requirements of all relevant laws, regulations, and Company policies, including, among other areas, Food and Drug Administration regulations
• General awareness knowledge of the ISO9001 Quality Management System requirements, company Quality Policy and your contributions to the effectiveness of the QMS
