As a Retail Store Manager for TQL Stadium & the Over-the-Rhine Team Store, you will be responsible with leading a team with a high level of excitement and sensibility to visualize and tailor merchandising efforts toward a focused, appropriate assortment of product creativity, innovation, newness, passion and drive.
Detailed Responsibilities
* Evaluating and analyzing product performance and developing necessary strategies both in-venue and e-commerce
* Serves as merchant leader for consumer and trend awareness
* Transforms consumer feedback and fashion trends into winning product assortments
* Encourages and leads the expansion/distortion of inventory or creation of new products
* Develops processes and practices around pricing promotions and markdowns to meet sales and margin targets
* Establishes pricing strategies for their venue location
* Ensures beneficial vendor alliances
* Provides oversight for product mix, distortion, gross margin, promotional expenditures and markdowns
* Establishes and maintains effective merchandise control systems including replenishment, open-to-buy, seasonal, liquidation plans, spot checks, etc.
* Ensures appropriate inventory management, where purchase orders are placed in a timely manner, inventory is aligned with customer selling, goods are flowing at the necessary rate, cancelable backups are in place and goods can be received earlier if selling dictates
* Manages and develops a team; supports an environment that promotes professional development; develops, mentors and coaches team members
* Evaluates team member performance and works closely with Human Resources in the areas of performance management, training, staffing, rewards/recognition and team member development
* Drives succession planning and talent development
* Supports on-site management team during necessary consigned events
* Additional responsibilities, as needed
Job Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning with 2+ years of experience in a lead/supervisory role is preferred
* A degree in Retail Management, Business Management, or Analytics is preferred
* Diverse background of e-commerce, specialty retail familiarity is preferred
* Strong communication skills demonstrated through the ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and persuasively through both verbal and written presentations
* High level of computer literacy
* Passion for hospitality, food, and retail
