Retail Store Associate

Goat Local is a nature-inspired Retail Store in downtown Delaware, Ohio, featuring products art from local makers and artisans, as well as plants, gardening accessories, home décor, apparel, pet goods, stationary, and more!

We are looking for a Retail Store Associate to join our team in a part time role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides outstanding customer service.
• Enhances sales through engagement of customers, and sharing product knowledge.
• Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner.
• Responds effectively to customers’ questions.
• Directs customers by escorting them to applicable product displays.
• Manages financial transactions through POS system.
• Processes payments by totaling purchases, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards.
• Contributes to social media strategy.
• Assists with inventory, including receiving, labeling, and stocking merchandise.
• Clean assigned areas of the store; ensure merchandise is properly displayed.
• Keeps clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest.

Skills:
- Excellent punctuality, etiquette, and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly store environment
- Proficiency in basic math for handling financial transactions accurately

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week

Shift:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Morning shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
