POSITION OVERVIEW
The Retail Stock Associate will be responsible for performing in an accurate and efficient manner, in accordance with department procedures regarding the processing of all retail shipments. The Retail Stock Associate must assist the manager or supervisor of the department to ensure all objectives are met in a timely and precise manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary
- Receive merchandise into inventory using the appropriate software in an accurate and timely manner
- Reconcile, match, and summarize merchandise received and invoiced
- Verify invoices and update merchandise items
- Participate in physical inventories and cycle counting activities as required
- Input inventory items into computer system
- Maintain written and verbal communication with management and others regarding discrepancies andreturned items
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Maintain a neat and orderly stockroom by organizing merchandise according to established procedures. Implement efficient inventory management practices to optimize product availability and minimize shrinkage
- Receive incoming shipments of merchandise and verify their accuracy against purchase orders. Unpack and inspect goods to ensure quality standards are met. Prepare merchandise for the sales floor or stockroom as appropriate
- Regularly restock shelves and displays on the sales floor to ensure products are readily available for customers. Monitor inventory levels and promptly notify management when restocking is required
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and cycle counts to reconcile stock levels accurately. Collaborate with the inventory management team to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Work closely with the sales team, store management, and other associates to maintain effective communication and cooperation within the store
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- One (1) year of Retail Stock experience
- Ability to perform basic math skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational skills, time management and a proactive mindset
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in inventory management
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in inventory management
- Ability to operate office equipment (i.e., computer, scanner, copier, etc.)
- Computer literate
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally
- Knowledge, understanding and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions and daily responsibilities

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the Member is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or utilize objects, tools, or controls. The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
