The Retail Sales Consultant is responsible for presenting services of installation of replacement windows and doors to homeowners. Achieve individual sales goals through assertively presenting a compelling case for customers to choose this product. They must understand customer wants and needs, and translate the product offerings to match. Strive for a first-time close, and plan for and deliver effective follow up on the rest. Proactively seek out new referrals through customer relationship networking.

REMOTE WITH RESCRICTIONS:

They can sit anywhere within an hour of their Auburn Hills or Plymouth showrooms. Preferably no further than an hour from these locations. There will be times they will be meeting customers at a showroom location, and they do not want someone driving over an hour to appointments. They are looking for Sales Consultants to support their Northern (3 people) and Southeastern (2 people) territories (territory map available to recruiter upon request).

Job Description:

- Effectively presenting company's solutions to customers by executing the Sales Process during the in-home consultation

- Striving to close the sale during all customer interactions

- Ensuring quotes and orders are accurate following company sales process

- Responding to customer concerns and engaging sales support resources to achieve first-time resolution on all customer problems/issues

- Maintaining exceptional level of expertise of products/services relating to customers, as well as staying abreast of the competitive landscape

- Conducting after-sale follow up with customers and developing lead and referral generation

- Ability to negotiate, build value, and address objections towards closing a sale

Day-to-day and Schedule:

- This is a home office position while they are not actively at appointments

- Appointments will be pre-set by Sales Coordinator. There is no cold calling in this role. They will be attending appointments at customer's home.

- These are highly qualified leads, customers who are specifically seeking out this company for services

- Appointments are scheduled minimum of 24 hours in advance

- During a typical week, can get anywhere from 1-3 appts per day

- Mon-Thurs appts generally run until 6pm - candidate must be okay with working until 8 or 9pm

- Fri & Sat - appointment cut-off is 2pm - generally working 2 Saturdays per month

- After they close the sale, project coordinator will contact them to have a measure tech come out to verify measurements and make sure everything aligns. Then will get scheduled for installation

- On a day with no appointments – using that time to follow up on past customers, visiting their installs. Flexibility with position. Might come into showroom to meet with customers coming in to generate business

COMMISSION STRUCTURE:

- For their first 150 appointments, they will make a base salary of $50k (paid biweekly).

- They will earn 1.25% in commission

- Bonus program based on their close rate - if they are running 3 appointments per day, they are encouraged to close one of those sales for a 30% close rate. This allows them to earn up to 4% in commission.

- Can stay on this plan for up to 150 appointments (not sales closed) - should come up to about 6 months

AFTER 150 appointments:

- Full Commission Plan- No annual base salary- can earn up to 5.05% commission on jobs sold (based on discount) and a draw of $1346.15 every 2 weeks.

- Monthly bonus opportunity based upon monthly goals

- Payout is 2.5% for booking <75% of quota attainment. And 4% for booking >=75% of quota attainment

- 50% when the sale is ordered, 50% when it is shipped from the warehouse

Qualified candidates will have:

- Bachelor's Degree in business, sales, marketing, or experience in a sales program. With Bachelor's degree, can have no experience in selling. But experience in customer service in some capacity would be beneficial - OR 2-4 years in sales or customer service in lieu of degree

- Experience selling a product/commodity, not a service

- NEEDS to be outgoing, self-motivated, high attention to detail, can't be afraid to ask for the sale

- Can be newer in their career. They are looking for someone with a self-marketing attribute and skillset

- Ability to self-market. They should run this role as if it's their own business

- Ability to grasp technical concepts related to general construction

MUST HAVE a valid drivers license, insurance on vehicle, company will do a DMV search to validate, $600 mileage reimbursement.

NICE TO HAVE:

- Experience in a technical customer service role/technical or mechanical aptitude

- Prior knowledge of general construction applications and terminology and/or window and door applications or components

- Experience using Salesforce or equivalent program
