Retail Sales Associate

1. Meet the needs of in-store customers

a. Greet customers warmly upon their arrival in the store

b. Service customers properly on the telephone

c. Provide customers with accurate information and solutions on the use and application of products sold

d. Able to get leads and follow-up appropriately

e. Be knowledgeable of all products, current sales promotions, and ad campaigns

f. Utilize good judgment to satisfy customer needs

g. Conduct routine water analysis for customers and use software to instruct on proper application of pool/spa chemicals by customer

2. Process customer orders

a. Follow established procedures and systems to fill customer orders

b. Accurate processing of POS transactions to insure accurate inventory and cash drawers daily

c. Ensure that proper materials (sales forms, contracts, computer paper, register tape, etc.) are stocked at sales counters, ordering replacement stock when necessary

d. Pick orders for customers and process per established procedures

e. Carry customer products to their vehicles

f. Make recommendations to management for improvements in efficiency and customer satisfaction

3. Maintain a safe clean work environment

a. Housekeeping of store daily (clean, dust, vacuum, clean bathrooms, break down boxes and take out trash etc.)

b. Restocking of product in the store (following safe product handling and storage practices)

c. Communicate timely to owners/managers any area of need, dispute or idea for improving operations

Job Requirements:

· Retail store or pool and spa product experience preferred, but not required

· Attend required seminars, training, vendor schools and/or trade shows to maintain industry and product knowledge, as directed by the store owners

· Experience working with the public, waiting on and selling to customers

· Lifting of products of up to 50 pounds

· Intermediate computer skills in a Windows environment

· Good verbal communication skills and likes helping others

· Strong customer orientation

· Positive attitude (no negative talk about competitors or co-workers), strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
