Retail Sales Associate - Marine Industry

Join Our Crew! We are looking for a motivated, part-time Retail Sales Associate to join our fast-growing marine industry team in our Clearwater, FL office. Hours are Mon-Fri, 8 am - 1 pm. This candidate will be trusted with fulfilling customer orders - online, in person, and over the phone. The Retail Sales Associate in the marine industry plays a critical role in providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. $15 hourly

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide exceptional customer service: Greet customers warmly, listen to their needs and provide advice on marine products and equipment. Assist customers in finding the right products for their needs and provide recommendations as appropriate. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and timely manner.
• Sales and product knowledge: Demonstrate a strong understanding of marine products, equipment, and accessories, including boats, motors, safety gear, navigation equipment, and fishing gear. Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and advancements in the marine industry to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers.
• Retail operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail environment. Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain accurate inventory records. Process sales transactions, handle cash, and operate a cash register. Keep abreast of pricing, discounts, and promotions, and ensure accurate pricing and labeling of products.
• Product demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical assistance to customers as needed. Operate marine equipment, such as boats, motors, and navigation systems, to showcase their features and functionality. Provide instructions and guidance to customers on how to properly use and maintain marine products.
• Team collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including Sales Associates, store managers, and service technicians, to ensure smooth store operations and provide excellent customer service. Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and product knowledge sessions to stay informed and up-to-date on marine products and industry trends.
• Store merchandising: Assist in creating visually appealing displays to showcase marine products and attract customers. Monitor and report on product inventory levels and restock as needed. Assist in visual merchandising efforts, including setting up displays, signage, and promotional materials.

• High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework preferred).
• Strong knowledge of marine products, equipment, and accessories.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate marine equipment, such as boats, motors, and navigation systems.
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions and managing inventory.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
• Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods of time.
