Retail Sales Associate

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Retail Sales Associate. We have positions in Sewell, NJ however, you may be required to fill a shift in any of our locations.

Hours are Monday – Friday 8:45 am – 5:00 pm. This position is an in-office position only.

Primary Objective The Retail Sales Associate supports AAA core business lines, Membership, Travel, Insurance and Financial Services, through providing superior customer service to members and non-members. Key Accountabilities

• Explains, sells, and processes memberships.

• Assist members in making travel plans.

• Promotes and sells AAA products.

• Answers telephones, responds to inquiries and/or routes calls to appropriate personnel.

• Greets visitors, determines purpose of visit, and directs visitors to the proper destination.

• Advises member of auto travel routes, including production of Triptiks; provides maps and tourbooks and makes domestic ground travel reservations.

• Identifies opportunities to cross sell other products, services and promotions offered by AAASJ.

• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the various attraction tickets and provides details to customers to assist them in making a selection.

• Travels to other branch locations if needed.

• Reconciles cash daily.

• Files, answers phones, and assists with office administration. Requirements:

• Excellent record keeping and organizational skills.

• Excellent customer service focus and skill set.

• Ability to read and interpret maps.

• Basic knowledge of U.S. geography.

• Excellent listening skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with internal and external contacts.

• Ability to learn the automated systems used by AAASJ.

• Ability to organize, prioritize, and initiate work.

• Ability to maintain composure when under pressure.

• Basic knowledge of computer programs including Excel, Word.

• Demonstrated ability to cross sell AAA products and services.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
