Retail Sales Associate

True Value of Salisbury has been in business since 2015 and is a second location to Pointer's Ace Hardware in Concord which has been in business since 1988. We sell paint, power equipment, and grills along with your traditional hardware store items like nuts, bolts, electrical, and plumbing.

We are a small town hardware store looking to add to our team! Our smaller staff and low-turnover business model allows us to be flexible in scheduling and provide an upbeat work environment that aren't found in other retail environments.

Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with their questions and purchases
- Communicate product information, promotions, and sales to customers
- Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and restocking merchandise
- Work as a team to ensure a good experience for all customers.

Experience/Skills:

- Applicant must have good social and communication skills

- Problem solving/analytical skills

- DIY or mechanical knowledge is a plus
- Previous Retail Sales experience preferred
- Proficient computer skills required to handle inventory management and online order processing.
- Bilingual skills in English and another language is an advantage but not a requirement.

-Be able to handle customers that are stressed or emotional with a level head and a positive demeanor.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 45 per week
