Retail Sales Associate

This position is primarily responsible for assisting customers in our retail store while providing outstanding customer service. We don’t require ANY previous experience in the metals industry; just team members who are passionate and ready to learn new skills. Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm

Primary Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and assist in finding product(s) suited for their unique needs
• Answer questions from customers, provide product and service information
• Suggest items for the customers intended purpose, lend opinions
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service and selling skills
• Write retail tickets accurately and legibly
• Process material cuts using industrial saws
• Assist in the display of merchandise
• Ensure the cleanliness and neatness of assigned store areas
• Replenish and straighten product stock in store
• Follow company safety guidelines, processes, and procedures

Position Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Professional communication in the English language, both written and verbal
• Strong understanding of measuring devices such as calipers, tape measures, and scales
• Ability to multi-task while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the department
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independently
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Ability to maneuver and manipulate metal materials by bending, twisting, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, and use of upper and lower extremities and back

Preferred Qualifications:
The following qualifications are desired, though not required to adequately meet the objectives of the position.

• Aptitude in industrial machinery and equipment
• Experience with metals and/or hardware
• Forklift experience

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
