Job Summary:

Provide outstanding customer experience; greet customers as they arrive, process sales and take special orders, answer phones, up-sell, and process reservations. Strive to exceed sales goals and delight customers through engagement. Follow opening/closing procedures, maintain cleanliness of floors, surfaces and product, restock to keep sales floor stocked and well merchandised, and take active role in security of building and merchandise. Staying productive is crucial to success in this role. Mandatory participation in department meetings and annual events.

Currently there is 1 regular (year-round) positions, and 4 seasonal position available. Let us know your availability, for the right person we can accommodate specific needs, 8hrs per week and up. Evening shift available is needed during jetboat season.

Essential Job Functions:

· Proactively greet customers in an open and friendly manner upon entering the store.

· Engage with guests to determine how you can best assist them.

· Support sales culture by embracing approved sales techniques.

· Resolve customer concerns or complaints, contacting management when appropriate.

· Be knowledgeable of existing product; learn details of lines/product to best assist guests.

· Be knowledgeable of all in-store or advertised promotions being offered.

· Promote store/company drives and programs.

· Process customer sales through the POS, comparing description/price with computerized entry.

· Book guest reservations-- completing all applicable fields and accurately entering all data.

· Replenish product promptly, ensuring stock is always represented on salesfloor.

· Maintaining integrity of inventory by processing transactions with attention to detail to maintain accurate item count.

· Update and maintain confidentiality of customer information.

· Package customer purchases per store standards and provide tissue as needed and ribbons on gifts (as requested).

· Assist in transporting customer purchases to their vehicles, making sure your station is covered.

· Loss Prevention: You have an active role in preventing theft though awareness and guest engagement.

· Assist in processing product for floor; counts, quality check, secure, tag, fold, etc.

· Maintain organization of all retail storage areas.

· Answer phone calls quickly and address calls efficiently; handling applicable store and reservation calls, asking clarifying questions to direct other calls to the appropriate parties.

· Routinely check the Communication Binder for new memos.

· Follow the retail dress code.

· Maintain a clean and organized area, watching for hazards or security issues.

· Follow opening/closing procedures, including cleaning restrooms and taking out the trash daily.

· Teamwork: Arrive at work prepared to function as a team—enthused to work together and foster positive communication.
