Retail Sales Associate

The Pickleball Club, headquartered in Sarasota, FL is a developer and operator of premier membership based one of a kind indoor pickleball clubs in the state of Florida. The Company is well underway with its plans to develop 15 facilities across the state of Florida with its strategy to take advantage of the significant unmet demand for quality indoor sports facilities across Florida. Our first state-of-the-art facility is now open and operating in Lakewood Ranch and our second location is set to open in May in St Lucie West. We are looking for Retail Sales Associates for our Dink's pro shop!

TPC is a new exclusive private club experience for pickleball enthusiasts of all levels. TPC prides itself on providing world-class facilities and service to our members and their guests. TPC is a full-service club with 12 indoor pickleball courts, 2 outdoor covered courts, and 2 bocce courts. We offer a suite of member benefits including member concierge services, engaging member events and in-house instructional professionals. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the United States and TPC is the leader in the market.

Position Summary:

The Retail Sales Associate for the Dink’s Pro Shop located within The Pickleball Club is responsible for helping customers find their perfect pickleball solution. They work closely with club members to decide which product will work best to meet all their needs by answering any questions or concerns. They will also ensure maximum customer satisfaction by developing an expertise with the various product lines as well as handling any complaints or returns quickly and efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner.
• Knowledgeable about the line of products carried by Dinks.
• Serves club members by helping them select products.
• Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
• Responds to customers’ questions.
• Directs customers to appropriate products.
• Keeps members informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of member interest.
• Provides outstanding customer service.
• Makes product suggestions to Dinks Manager
• Operates and documents sales and returns in the POS system.
• Maintains the store in a secure and safe manner, alerting management of any potential security issues
• Assists with inventory, including receiving, documenting, and stocking merchandise.
• Maintains shop in a clean and well-organized manner.
• Maintain and facilitates Dinks Demo Paddle Program.
• May be scheduled on weekends or evenings depending on requirements.

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

• Effective listening skills.
• Excellent technology proficiency and ability to operate POS system
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of and enthusiasm for pickleball
• Employees are required to be CPR/AED Certified (having completed in person training) or must complete in person training and obtain certification at their own cost within 30 days of employment.
• Great people skills.
• Upbeat energy level.
• Dependable.
• General math skills
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Reporting:

The Dink's Sales Associate reports to the Dink's Manager

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift 20 pounds regularly, squat and bend over regularly. carry out repetitive motions regularly, lift and carry awkward items, stand for length of shift
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.
• Must have a valid form of ID.
• Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
• Moderate noise level in the work environment
• Passing a drug test and background check is a condition of employment.
