Job brief
We are looking for a Retail Operations Associate to join our team and support our organization by managing the day-to-day tasks and administrative needs of our Retail Operations. The Retail Operations Associate’s responsibilities include performing all acts of retail customer service duties, completing various administrative tasks as needed, enforcing the organization’s policies and standards, and assisting with operations related projects to ensure timely completion of those same projects.
Responsibilities
● Serves customers by helping them select products.
● Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
● Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner.
● Responds to customers’ questions.
● Directs customers by escorting them to racks and counters.
● Provides outstanding customer service.
● Responsible for answering all incoming customer calls and fielding questions, as well as transferring them to management as necessary.
● Manages financial transactions.
● Processes payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards.
● Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
● Perform administrative tasks such as counting and maintaining inventory levels.
● Maintain and restock all store shelves and keep all inventory on the storeroom floors.
● Keeping overstock items in a neat and organized manner.
● Report to management when there are issues, particularly pertaining to inventory needed from the production department.
● Assist in training new employees.
● Assist in all other operational goals as deemed necessary.
Requirements and skills
● Proven work experience as a Retail Associate and/or Operations Associate or similar role.
● Excellent communication and listening skills.
● Ability to work under pressure.
● Strong computer proficiency.
● Experience with inventory management, database, or similar software is beneficial.
● Relevant training and/or certifications as needed.
Reports to: Operations Manager
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Shift:
- 8 hour shift
Weekly day range:
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating weekends
- Weekends as needed
