Standard Safety & Supply is looking for Restraint Techs to add to their team! Restraint Techs are responsible for the following:

  • Clean, inspect and deliver company vehicles, trailers and equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Deliver various products to customers such as; light plants, containments and berms.
  • Rig Up and Rig Down/stands
  • Assist with ground restraints, man lift restraints.
  • Troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions.
  • Provide equipment calibrations.
  • Deliver and rig up berms for containment; and rig down and return berms
  • Inspect/service/deliver white shower trailers to sites; and rig down/inspect/service and return white shower trailers
  • Inspect/service/deliver cooling trailers to sites; and rig down/inspect/service and return cooling trailers
  • Rig down and wash restraints; restock restraint trailer.
  • Wash and patch berms

Restraint Tech Job Expectations:

  • Schedule - Follow Work schedule and only change when necessary. 3 weeks on and 1 week off. Not to be changed unless approved by your Supervisor. Days Off start from Sam Thursday morning until 5 am the following Thursday morning. This is a full 7 days off. This allows supervisors to schedule the work load and employees needed for jobs.
  • Timeliness - Arrive to locations in a timely manner. This does not mean to speed. No speed limit should ever be exceeded. This is used to plan your route and ask questions if you do not know where your location is. Must be able to follow directions and know your directions. If you are lost for more than 30 minutes you need to notify your supervisor.
  • Competency - Competent knowledge of the restraints and equipment we are putting them on. This will include piping sizes, piping terms, pressure ratings of equipment, sizes of restraints, pressure ratings of restraints, certification information of the restraint, shackle sizes, and correct way to install pins into shackles.
  • Communications with Management -follow communication procedures for any/all incidents or issues. Communicate with them for any problems or issues that you have. When on standby jobs notify the supervisors with what stage the frac is on, how many are left and a potential rig down date. When going to other rig up, rig down, or jobs other than standby, you will need to communicate when you get there, any standby info, and when you complete the job. When completing a job, you must send in the info of the company, company man, location, job, footage, date, rig up and down (one day job), and estimated rig down.
  • Communication with Customers - You will be required to have good communication with the company representatives on location. This will include but is not limited to, knowing who the company men are on location, letting them know when our technicians are getting to and leaving location, knowing what is going on at the location, what stage they are on, how many stages in total, how many wells they have, what time coil tubing will rig up after frac, and if it is a job other than frac then you will know how many days they expect to be there, and if they will be changing from one job to the next on the same location and need restraints for a different job.
  • Cleanliness - You will be required to keep your housing, truck, and any other company property clean and organized. This will include but not be limited to company trucks, company housing, company yards and shops.
  • Driving - You must be competent in driving directions, both mileage tracking and cardinal directions (North, South, East, and West). You must follow all speed limits. Any Lease road without a posted speed limit will be 25 mph. If the posted speed limit is less, you must follow it. Do not exceed any posted speed limit on any road paved or not. If you are too tired to drive, you must notify your supervisor and pull over and rest until you can safely drive. It is your responsibility to make sure your vehicle is in good working condition. This includes but not limited too the registration, windshield, and tire issues, oil change, vehicle condition (dents, cracks, body damage, ETC) and anything else to keep it in good working order.
  • Truck Inspection - Required at the first of the month and any time you get into a new truck.
  • Fuel Cards - You are responsible for your own fuel card. This is for you and you only. Do not fill up anyone else unless you are instructed by your supervisor. You are only allowed to fill up using regular unleaded gasoline. You are required to input the correct and current mileage of the truck you are driving.

Training, Licenses, Certification and Orientations: Experience and current/valid licenses/certifications preferred. All employees are required to go through Standard's orientation and safety classes upon hire.

  • PEC/Safeland - Provided during orientation.
  • H2S awareness - Provided during orientation and when expired.
  • Man lift operator - If operating a man lift.
  • Oxy Orientation - Must have completed within the last year. Must have stickers on your hard hat.
  • Shell Orientation - Must have completed the 4-hour course online.
  • ConocoPhillips SLS - Must have attended the training class provided by Conoco.
  • Valid Driver's License - Must have a valid driver's license to operate a company vehicle to and from location.
Requirements:

Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle and must be able to pass a motor vehicle record check and drug & alcohol screen.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment: Work is conducted in both indoor office settings, and outdoor jobsite settings. Environmental conditions will vary.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, type, carry up to 40 lbs, pushing and bending. May be required to occasionally work at heights and in confined space.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Willing to work different shifts and travel up to 80% of the time.

Travel: Travel to various worksites is required.
