Fair Oaks Health Care Center, located in Crystal Lake, IL is looking for full-time Restorative Aide/Illinois Certified Nursing Assistants to join our team. Day shift is from 7am to 3 pm. We are currently have an opening for one Full-Time Days Restorative Aide. Fair Oaks takes great pride in our "team-work" atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organization skills and be passionate about caring for our residents.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Will provide patient/resident care as required under the direct supervision of the licensed nurse.
- Completes assigned tasks to ensure timely, efficient and safe patient/resident care.
- Communication and interactions with patients, residents, families and other health team members is an essential component of this position.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Certified Nursing Assistant must have current Illinois Nursing Aid Certification in good standing
- Must be trained in Restorative procedures
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience
- CPR certified
LEVEL OF SUPERVISION - Reports to Restorative Nurse and/or DON/ADON
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB, DEPARTMENTAL EXPECTATIONS
- Implements nursing rehabilitation restorative interventions as directed by Restorative Nurse and Nursing Technician in the following areas: Passive range of motion, splint or brace assistance, training and skills practice in bed mobility, transfers, walking, dressing, grooming eating toileting and swallowing. Reports observations and other information related to the care of resident to the appropriate staff.
- Implements plan of care developed by the Registered Nurse based on patient/resident physical, psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs.
- Provides direct patient/resident care and reports condition and changes to RN or LPN.
- Demonstrates time management and prioritization of tasks.
- Documents results of patient/resident care within established policies, procedures and scope of practice.
- Other duties: Completes all other duties as assigned.
