RESTAURANT SHIFT LEADER

Position Overview
The Restaurant Shift Leaderrole is focused on delivering sales and positive results through Guest & Operations coordination. This Hourly position supports the Restaurant General Manager and Assistant Manager in managing the operations during assigned shifts while driving key performance outcomes.
PAY TRANSPARENCY
Starting pay rate is up to $18.00 per hour, depending on skill level, experience and/or education. Compensation offered is also subject to local wage and hour laws.
Responsibilities
Some of the Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Directs team and ensures all food items are prepared and served by all Brand, Company, and health department regulations. Coaches team members to follow guidelines for food preparation and production management
• Motivates and directs Team Members to exceed guest expectations with correct, fast, and friendly service in clean surroundings
• Supplies coaching and feedback to Team Members to increase the restaurant team's capabilities
• Supervises crew members in the preparation of menu items to ensure compliance with all Burger King Corporate (BKC) Operations and Sanitation standards
• Ensures that staff keep an exceptional level of customer service and that orders are taken in a prompt, correct, and courteous manner
• Resolve customer complaints as needed
• Ensure an adequate level of staffing and service in the restaurant, which is critical to keeping a productive level of operation
• Maintains a clean restaurant environment by cleaning and performing general housekeeping duties. Assigns shift duties to team members and follows up to ensure completion
• Manages cash control per policy and counts cash on hand, at shift changes and at closing, to decide shortages or overages and prepares bank deposits
• Monitors and ensures accuracy of all cash, sales, and inventory control records for the duration of the shift. Completes end of shift and end of day paperwork and counts as require
• Trains, evaluates, and completes hourly work schedule for restaurant staff
Qualifications
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or older
• Minimum education requirement: Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Two to three years of first line supervisory or management experience or equivalent, preferably from a restaurant or customer service environment
• Demonstrated understanding of guest service principles
• SERV Safe, local, and state certifications or the ability to obtain needed
• Acts with integrity; keeps commitments
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
• The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange correct information in these situations
• Tolerate extreme cold and hot temperatures and work in and around fryers, ovens, grills, coolers, freezers, sharp objects, and loud noises
• Reach, grasp, and manipulate objects with hands for entire shift, including reaching for objects overhead
• Push, pull, lift, and carry up to 10 lbs. often and up to 50+ lb. occasionally, including lifting from ground to overhead
