Job Title: Restaurant Greeter

Location: Crystal River, FL

Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary

Welcomes guests to the restaurant and provides fast and courteous service to ensure an enjoyable dining experience and repeat business.

Job Responsibilities

• Create an exceptional first impression of the restaurant by providing excellent customer service while seating guests in a timely manner
• Assists with opening tasks such as assigning stations to servers for meal periods and retrieving daily specials.
• Take reservations, greet and seat patrons of the resort’s dining facilities, conduct table visits and monitor the flow of the dining room to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
• Processes take-out orders; practices up-selling techniques.
• Receives customer payment and processes transactions.
• Greets guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus.
• Inspects dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness, and checks menus to ensure that they are cleaned and updated on a regular basis.
• May assist dining room assistants/bus persons in clearing, cleaning and setting tables.
• Resolves any customer issues as necessary
• Conclude the guest’s experience by thanking them for their visit and welcoming their return upon exit.
• Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
• Follows company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Position requires flexibility in scheduling including AM/PM shifts, weekends and holidays. Overtime may be required as business needs.
• Must have attention to detail, strong ability to multi-task, and time-management skills
• Customer service and/or food and beverage experience of at least 6 months is required.
• Basic mathematical skills are used when completing customer payment transactions and balance sheets.
• The major responsibility in this position is to welcome guests to the restaurant and provide fast
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to complete repetitive motions throughout shift such as reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, etc.
• Must be able to lift, push, carry, and pull at up to 50lbs.
• Be able to work in a hot, cold, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.
