As a Restaurant Assistant Manager, you will plan and manage the restaurant, room service and other food and beverage outlets as appropriate in order to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, compliance with corporate and franchise policies and procedures and federal, state and local regulations while meeting or exceeding financial goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES + AUTHORITIES:
Here's a more in-depth look at what you'll be doing on a daily basis:
  • Work experience as a Restaurant Assistant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software.
  • Good math and reporting skills.
  • Customer service attitude.
  • Communication and team management abilities.
  • Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends)
  • High school diploma; additional certification in hospitality is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS:
  • Work experience as a Restaurant Assistant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • TIPS certification and DC ABRA managers license are a plus.
  • Marriott Experience is a plus.
  • HACCP/Food safety knowledge is beneficial.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of food & beverage etiquette, guest relations and service standards.
  • Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff.
  • Keep detailed records of daily, weekly and monthly costs and revenues.
  • Assist with new employees' proper onboarding (scheduling trainings and ordering uniforms).
  • Gather guests' feedback and recommend improvements to our menus.
  • Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to analyze client needs and negotiate pricing.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and for extensive hours.
