Respite Care Provider/Self Determination

Important to know: This is a private residence we care for one young man who has severe behavior.

Responsibilities:

- Person must be able to do a CPI hold as needed (holds can be taught person must be physically able)
- Provide compassionate and personalized care to younge man with autism
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
- Engage with him in meaningful activities and social interactions

- Drive him in family car to therapy and stay with him during therapy

Requirements:

- Physically strong enough to participate in CPI Holds With a 20 year old male client.

- Must he willing to work in a group setting and take feedback from clients parents/therapy providers
- Compassionate

- On time

- Responsible

(CPI hold : used to manage individuals who havebecome dangerous to themselves or others. Two staff+ members hold the individual. as the auxiliary team member(s) continually assess the safety of all involved and. assist, if needed.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Overnight shift
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

• Dana Point, CA 92629: Relocate before starting work (Required)
