SUMMARY:
In a training capacity and under the close supervision of a Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, administers basic respiratory therapy care to patients. Performs a variety of duties related to the delivery of respiratory department services such as transporting patients, cleaning of supplies and equipment, etc. Participates in quality assessment and continuous quality improvement activities. Complies with all appropriate safety and infection control standards. Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a courteous and customer-focused manner according to the Hurley Family Standards of Behavior.
· Current enrollment in an approved Respiratory Therapy Registry Program with completion of two (2) semesters.
· Ability to compile, organize, and maintain accurate records.
· Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written formats.
· Ability to lift and bend during CPR and to transfer and reposition adult and infant
patients.
· Ability to push equipment, supply carts, cylinders, wheelchairs, gurneys, etc. ranging in
weight from 5 lbs. to 400 lbs. or more.
· Ability to lift equipment, boxes, stock items ranging from 3 lbs. to 60 lbs.
· Physical ability to perform the required responsibilities and duties.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, visitors,
supervisors, and Medical Center staff.
SHIFT: 3PM-11:30PM every other weekend
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
