Respiratory Therapist

• Registered (or registry eligible) by the National Board for Respiratory Care
• Licensed through State of Florida as a Respiratory Therapist
• Graduated from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program

• Provide respiratory care to Binson’s patients in retail and home care setting
• Complete proper patient documentation in initiation of respiratory therapy procedures
• Educate family/caregivers on respiratory equipment
• Set patients up with PAP equipment and ensure that compliance instructions are understood
• Conduct follow-up visits on patients utilizing respiratory care modalities
• Complete proper patient documentation on follow-up visitation(s)
• Maintain an open line of communication with the patients and caregivers
• Assist in the coordination of in-store phone calls concerning respiratory care
• Ongoing phone calls to patients utilizing H-tanks/liquid oxygen to ensure supplies are adequate
• Assume on-call responsibility to assure after hours coverage for respiratory services
• Verification of insurance coverage and coordinate financial responsibility with the patient
• Recommendation of oral/tracheal hygiene and/or changing of trach
• Ventilator supply set up and troubleshooting
• Act on behalf of the patient with regard to the patient’s needs and safety

• Any additional duties assigned by management
