Position:Residential Program Manager
Reports to: Director, Residential Programs
Department:Residential Programs
Location: Decatur and Tucker, GA
FLSA: Exempt
Job Summary:
The Program Manager reports to and is directly accountable to the Director, Residential Programs. In turn, the Program manager renders supervision of the Transition Living Program and the Independent Living program by providing oversight to direct care staff.
The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring a positive work environment and culture of
excellence, accountability, and learning. He/she is available to support staff in managing crisis, and supports transitional support staff to ensure safety, permanency, and wellbeing for young adults in foster care. The Program Manager is committed to our mission and vision.
The ideal candidate for the Program Manager is service driven, a natural self-starter, and has high attention to detail, has supervisory experience and a background /experience in direct care and Residential Programs.
He/she is well-organized and skilled in system and process efficacy and improvement.
Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the Wellroot personnel Policies Manual and Program Policy Manual in order to assist others in gaining a working knowledge of agency philosophy, policies and procedures
    • Reviews policies and procedures as a part of ongoing supervision with the Programs Director of TLP/ILP
    • Assures that Transitional Living policies and procedures are adhered to by direct care staff.
• Oversee onboarding and training of new transitional support worker staff
  • Develop and maintain curriculum and content for daily living skills for Transition Support Staff.
  • Ensure daily living skills are completed by staff for residents in the program.
• Incorporate trauma-sensitive approaches and coach staff to maintain a trauma focus
• Complete performance evaluations at required intervals for Transition Support Team
• Oversee weekly TSW schedule is completed, and shifts are filled
• Manage on-call schedule, and participate in the on-call rotation
• Be a positive factor in public relations by representing the organization well with visitors and people from the
Community
  • Orient new residents to the program, and participate in the intake process.
  • Oversee resident move-in/move-out inspections, and quarterly inspections.
  • Act as a liaison with Facilities Manager to ensure units are up to standard.
  • Assist with activities functions of the residents, along with Transition Support Team.
  • Assists with conducting monthly staff meetings and group supervision meetings with TSW staff to discuss participant progress, training and regular program updates.
Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in social work psychology, counseling, education or related field from an accredited college or university, or Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field with 5 years of experience in social services.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to use a personally-owned vehicle Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children with emotional or behavioral problems required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills
  • Successful completion of all required Criminal Background checks
  • Be familiar with, and perform duties in accordance with RBWO (Room Board and Watchful Oversight) standards
  • Participate in a rotating after-hours support schedule to provide after-hours advisory support to TLP youth and the Transition Support Team; reports and documents after-hour incidents
  • Must participate in at least twenty-four (24) hours of annual training. At least twelve (12) hours should be directly related to working with teens including understanding developmental needs of adolescents and strength-based assessments
