Job Description
A social services organization on Long Island is currently seeking a dedicated professional to join their staff as their new Residential Manager.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Contract to Hire
- Schedule: 5 days a week / rotating weekends
- Hours: 8-shifts (flexible)
- Patient Population: Adult IDD (Ages 18+)
Responsibilities
The Residential Manager will:
- Assist the people to overcome barriers and challenges to establish and maintain a network of relationships and valued social roles
- Maintain ongoing communication with the individual, family members and other collateral providers involved with the program and individuals served
- Manage personnel by supervising, training, evaluating, and observing assigned team members
- Interview, hires, develops and retains high quality staff
- Ensure that all required documentation is completed appropriately and in a timely manner
- Ensure residence and individual finances are balanced and in compliance
- Manage and approve team members' time worked in the residence while ensuring there are sufficient team members to meet the needs of the people living in the residence at all times
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in a Supervisory role
- High School Diploma / GED
- Solid problem solving and time management skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Computer savvy
