Job Description
Our License Plumberis responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures in residential and commercial settings. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of plumbing systems.
Job Duties:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, pipes, fixtures, and equipment for plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Cut, thread, and assemble pipes and fittings using plumbing tools and equipment.
- Identify and repair leaks and blockages in pipes, drains, and sewer systems.
- Install and repair plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, faucets, toilets, and water heaters.
- Install and test backflow prevention devices to ensure water quality and safety.
- Ensure that all plumbing work complies with safety standards, codes, and regulations, including proper venting and drainage.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plumbing components to identify and address potential issues before they lead to problems.
- Maintain accurate records of plumbing work, including repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
- Respond to emergency plumbing calls and provide prompt and effective solutions to plumbing issues
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Vocational or technical training in plumbing is beneficial.
- Possession of relevant plumbing certifications or licenses as required by local and state regulations.
- Proven experience as a plumber, with specific experience in residential plumbing systems being advantageous.
- Proficiency in plumbing diagnostics, pipe fitting, and troubleshooting related to residential systems.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and compliance with plumbing codes and regulations.
- Effective problem-solving skills to diagnose and address plumbing issues.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members professionally.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing plumbing systems and technologies within the home service industry.
- The ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including tight spaces and varying temperatures.
