Key Responsibilities:
- System Diagnostics: Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments of HVAC systems to identify issues and malfunctions accurately.
- Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs, adjustments, and routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and safety.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
- Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers, providing clear explanations of issues and recommended solutions.
- Documentation: Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and hours worked.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including handling refrigerants, to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Technical Knowledge: Stay updated with the latest HVAC industry trends, products, and technologies through training and self-improvement.
- Inventory Management: Manage and maintain inventory of parts and equipment, ensuring that necessary items are always available for service calls.
- On-call and Emergency Service: Be available for on-call and emergency service calls as needed, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in HVAC or a related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in residential HVAC system repair, maintenance, and installation.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, refrigeration, electrical systems, and controls.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
