Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has an amazingopportunity as a Residential Steward Shift Lead for individuals excited andcommitted to being a leader and key member of our success.
As the Residential Steward Shift Lead you will supervisethe daily schedules and duties of the Residential Custodial Stewards; includingtraveling to the residence halls to inspect areas for compliance withcleanliness, customer service and safety procedures. You will maintain anassigned area keeping it thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and in orderlycondition. You will receive and restock supplies for chemical dispensers, paperdispensers, and cleaning supplies for public spaces, restrooms, and shower roompurposes. You will perform heavy cleaning duties: sweep, mop, scrub, shampoo,vacuum, trash removal, dust, and sanitize all areas and surfaces ofInstitutional buildings including but not limited to restrooms, lounges, livingspaces, windows, carpets, general floors, hallways, and classrooms, whileutilizing institution provided chemicals, supplies, and equipment. You will providegeneral cleaning and snow removal of sidewalks and entries.
Applicant must be willing to learn how to refinish floorsand use a scrubber on floor surfaces. Operation of walk-behind and ride-onfloor scrubbers and vacuums and ability to perform basic maintenance andclean-up of equipment as needed.
Qualified candidates will hold a High School Diploma or GEDequivalent and one to two years of work experience are required. In addition tothe required qualifications, preferred candidates will demonstrate attention todetail.
