Job Description:
The Role:Residential Behavioral Health Technician
The Residential Behavioral Health Technicianunder the supervision of clinical leadership provides therapeutic interventions to residents/patients and assists with maintaining a safe and therapeutic treatment environment.
The Opportunity:
MaineGeneral Health is currently seeking an exceptional Residential Behavioral Health Technician to join our team on weekday and weekend shifts. The Work:
Assists with ensuring the safety of the residents/patients, while helping to meet their emotional, physical, recreational, and mental health needs.
Communicates in a therapeutic manner, uses de-escalation techniques, provides crisis intervention skills and contributes to individual treatment plans.
Encourages and observes residents/patients in performing activities of daily living.
Observes and documents resident/patient behaviors and activities. Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to clinical staff.
You Have:
  • Active MHRT/C preferred.
  • State of Maine driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
  • At least 1 year of Behavioral Health experience required. Three years of Behavioral Health experience preferred.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
