We invite our guests to immerse themselves in a redesigned Wine Country experience in a delightfully vino-cultured manner: two luxury hotels with decidedly different personalities – the vibrant Hotel Villagio and its sophisticated counterpart, Vintage House, a chic and tranquil sanctuary. A combined room-count of nearly 200 rooms and suites allows us to create a memorable experience for any occasion!

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a talented and passionate Resident Musician to enhance our guests' overall experience. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional musical skills, with a focus on jazz music and jazzy covers of popular songs. You will be responsible for providing live musical entertainment primarily during weekends and special events, creating a captivating atmosphere for our guests.

SCHEDULE: Minimum of 12-24 hours/week (primarily weekend mornings and evenings Thurs-Sun. Weekend morning hours are set (7:30-10:30A) and evening hours which are subject to change seasonally.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform live music on piano/guitar, and vocals, with an emphasis on jazz and jazzy covers of popular songs.
• Create a welcoming and enjoyable ambiance for guests during breakfast, brunch, and evening hours (Thurs-Sun).
• Collaborate with the hotel's management to curate an appropriate musical repertoire based on the clientele and the season.
• Engage with guests and take song requests when appropriate to create an interactive and memorable experience.
• Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor, contributing to the positive atmosphere of the hotel.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and care of musical instruments and equipment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• An in-person audition will be a component of the interview process
• Prior hospitality experience is preferred, showcasing an understanding of the hospitality environment and guest service expectations.
• Flexibility in availability, with a willingness to work primarily during weekends and adapt to changing schedules as needed.
• Proficiency in jazz music, with a strong repertoire of jazz standards and the ability to perform jazzy covers of popular songs.
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency in playing piano, guitar, and vocals.
• Submission of a resume and music samples as part of the application process.
