Summary:
Supports clinical and scientific research throughout the organization; assists with or conducts experiments and procedures under the direction of a supervisor; presents findings including preliminary interpretation for further review; inputs clinical and research information into the designated database system; conducts routine maintenance of equipment and machinery as needed.
Salary range for this position is $46,649 - $59,159 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
1. Master's degree in a clinical or scientific discipline; or
2. Bachelor's degree in a clinical or scientific discipline and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in a laboratory setting.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate should be highly-motivated, have a Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree in a biomedical discipline and the equivalent of at least one year of full-time experience working in a laboratory setting outside of course requirement. The preferred candidate should have extensive experience with basic molecular and cell biology techniques with the ability to learn new techniques. Moreover, the preferred candidate should have good organizational and note-taking skills, effective verbal and written communication, flexibility to occasionally work outside of established working hours, and be a good team player. The preferred candidate should also have experience with data analysis and preparation of scientific reports, have good attention to detail and be outcome-oriented.
