We are seeking an engineer to join our team and contribute to the advancement of generative AI agent framework. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in community building, governing technical direction, and address agile development needs of an open-source project AutoGen. Your work will have a significant impact on the research and development of next-generation AI-agent applications powered by large language models and foundation models.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
- Supports AutoGen, related teams and community in code reviews, issue triage, discuss on Discord and other community engagement channels.
- Grow the community of users and developers of AutoGen.
- Increase the adoption of AutoGen in products and research.
- Improve the usability and user experience by building intuitive interfaces and integrating with the ecosystem.
- Understand user requirements and help with the project plans.
- Learn emerging technology trends and science breakthroughs in generative AI and agents, and inform important technical directions.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in Python.
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of experience working with collaboration tools like git.
Additional Qualification add value:
- Familiarity with large language models (LLMs)
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Familiarity with AI frameworks such as PyTorch
- Familiarity with JavaScript, C#, C++, Java, C
- Familiarity in Cloud stacks and architecture, such as Azure
- Excellent communication skills and the desire to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team
- Deep understanding of computing systems
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
