Corteva Agriscience is seeking an experienced Research Scientist to conduct studies in Reproductive Biology. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership while conducting and interpreting research in one or more of the interrelated areas of plant Reproductive Biology.

Responsibilities – What You Will do:

  • Design, conduct, interpret and report results for discovery plant research.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to scientific staff.
  • Collaborate with scientists across a spectrum of biotechnology and bioinformatics specialties.
  • Communicate findings to business and scientific audiences, through both oral presentations and written technical reports and manuscripts.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain operational excellence through quality management and good housekeeping.

Qualifications

Education:

Ph.D. in plant biology, Reproductive Biology, or a related field. Applicants with a M.S. and 8-10 years related experience will also be considered.

What Skills You Need:

  • Evidence of strong and creative research publication record in plant biology.
  • Demonstrated expertise in molecular lab techniques, imaging techniques and computational manipulation of data.
  • Successful record of working in highly collaborative and cross-disciplinary environments.
  • Experience and knowledge in laboratory safety practices, including use of PPE, SDSs and proper handling and disposal of laboratory waste.
