Team Introduction
DD (Day-Dreamer) is a team in TikTok that focuses on exploring cutting-edge AI technologies, with a first-class research environment and equipment, as well as rich data resources, which can provide researchers with exceptional research support;
The DD team brings together a group of excellent AI talents, with an open and innovative team atmosphere, allowing for in-depth technical exchanges and collaboration with colleagues from different fields and backgrounds, and jointly promoting the development of AI technologies;
The research directions of the DD team are closely related to cutting-edge technologies, involving video generation, chatbot, video content understanding, multimodal, etc., with extremely high research value and application prospects, which can provide researchers with broad career development space.
We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2024. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Turn your ambitions into reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok.
This Internship Program runs for 10-24 weeks. Candidates can also apply for both Off-cycle Intern position and Program Intern position.

Responsibilities

• Explore cutting-edge AI technologies, including but not limited to AIGC, LLM, multi-modal content understanding (video/image/audio/text), etc., to build next-generation security models.
• Explore the best application of ML technology in solving problems such as long tail/complex governance standards/high response speed/sample imbalance.
• Break through the process of the existing security governance system and explore the next-generation content security business interaction model.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a PhD degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Rich experience in ML/CV/NLP, etc.
• Solid programming skills, familiar with programming languages such as python/C++.
• Excellent ability to analyze and solve problems, and be passionate about solving challenging problems.
• Passion for technology, good communication skills and team spirit.
• Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduating December 2024 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship.
• Conference papers in machine learning/data mining/artificial intelligence related fields (KDD/WWW/NIPS/ICML/CVPR/ACL/AAAI etc).

Job Information
The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $60- $60. We cover 100% premium coverage for Full-Time intern medical insurance after 90 days from the date of hire. Medical coverage only, no dental or vision coverage.
