Job Description

The Sharpe Lab at Harvard Medical School has created the CHIME (CHimeric IMmune Editing) system for using CRISPR-based in vivo screening to discover novel cancer immunotherapy targets. This project is performed by a multidisciplinary team of Research Scientists and research associates who conduct in vivoscreens in preclinical murine cancer models, validation/mechanism studies, and technology development centered on in vivo perturbation of immune cells. The overall aim of this project to improve our understanding of mechanisms of T-cell mediated tumor immunity.

We seek a motivated, experienced, and creative immunologist to join our team as a Research Scientist and lead a self-directed project that interfaces with these aims. The candidate will pursue his/her own project within the group supervising existing research associates working on this project. The candidate will also be responsible for leading manuscript writing on their projects. Candidates must have a strong background in immunology and cancer biology research, with experience in animal models required. The ideal candidate will also possess superior experimental planning, organizational, and execution skills; an open mind; the ability to mentor and manage research associates; a strong desire to collaborate and develop new technologies; and a proven ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems.
