Job Description
Working under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator, and in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures, conducts routine and non-routine experiments at a professional level. Calculates, transcribes, and analyzes data using statistical techniques. May perform literature searches and reagent procurement under the direction of supervisor. Responsible for organization and processing of biologic specimens from human and animal studies.
- Responsible for organization and processing of biologic specimens from human and animal studies.
- Maintain humanized and mouse mast cell cultures.
- Process biological specimens for generation of primary cell lines and maintenance and organization of frozen stocks.
- Extract RNA, DNA and protein
- Perform quantitative PCR, Western Blot, ELISA assays
- Perform genotyping on human and mouse DNA samples
- Additional responsibilities at the PI's discretion
Qualifications
The individual must have a Bachelor's degree and a background in Biology.
The individual must have reasoning and verbal skills.
The individual must be good at problem-solving and be able to keep an accurate, clear, and up-to-date lab notebook.
