RESEARCH ASST I (Student TEMP)

Summary
This is an hourly position as a research assistant. The research assistant will assist on a project, working with Social Sciences faculty. Responsibilities include working with the researcher to carefully process oral history interviews and other recordings to generate accurate transcripts. This requires moderate Arabic language proficiency and familiarity with Arabic names, Islamic religious references, local institutional landmarks, and local geography. The researcher will also need to attend public meetings and provide notes or transcripts of relevant materials and to conduct online searches.
Required Qualifications*
The research assistant should be familiar with:

• Arabic language
• Note taking
• Public speaking
• Communicating professionally
• Collecting and analysis of interview data

Must also be a current student.
